We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Scan for Safety Admin Support Co-ordinator to join our team and support the delivery of the NHS Scan for Safety programme. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is organised, has excellent attention to detail, and is keen to develop a career within NHS administration and digital healthcare. Working as part of a collaborative team, you will provide administrative support to ensure the effective capture, management, and maintenance of data relating to products, assets, and inventory used in patient care. In this role, you will assist with data entry, record maintenance, reporting, and general administrative duties that support the implementation and day-to-day operation of Scan for Safety processes across the organisation. You will work closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues, helping to ensure that information is accurate, timely, and compliant with NHS standards. Strong communication skills, confidence using IT systems, and a willingness to learn are essential. This position is initially offered as a 24 month Fixed-Term, upon successful completion of a Level 3 Management & Business apprenticeship (within this period), there would be scope to convert this to a permanent contract, including Agenda for Change progression steps. Through a combination of practical workplace experience and structured learning, you will develop valuable skills in healthcare administration, digital systems, data quality, and service improvement. This role is ideal for someone looking to gain a recognised qualification whilst contributing to improvements in patient safety, operational efficiency, and the digital transformation of NHS services. The successful candidate will be supported by experienced colleagues and will have access to ongoing training and development opportunities, making this an excellent stepping stone for those wishing to build a long-term career within the NHS.
The Scan for Safety team supports the Trust's patient safety and digital transformation objectives by improving the way products, equipment, and assets are tracked and managed. We work closely with a wide range of clinical and non-clinical teams, making a real difference to service delivery and patient care.
We are a friendly, supportive, and forward-thinking team that values collaboration, learning, and continuous improvement. Whether you are just starting your career or looking to develop your skills in a healthcare setting, you will be welcomed into an environment where your contributions are recognised and your development is encouraged. We pride ourselves on maintaining a positive team culture where everyone is supported to succeed and where new ideas and innovation are actively encouraged.
This is an excellent opportunity to start your NHS career while gaining a recognised apprenticeship qualification. You'll receive comprehensive training, ongoing support, and access to development opportunities that can open doors to future careers in administration, digital services, project support, and data management. If you're enthusiastic, eager to learn, and want to be part of a team making a positive impact, we'd love to hear from you
