We have a vacancy in Malton for an HGV Refuse Driver.
The role
Based at our Malton depot, the rounds cover the heart of Yorkshire. You will be provided with routes on a weekly basis, where you will need to safely navigate your vehicle and crew through, ensuring that residents obtain the excellent and friendly service they expect.
Your role as our Refuse Driver is a hugely important one as you will be on the front-line of a key service. The role is one that can naturally lead onto further supervisor or operational management roles, or further development opportunities to move into another of our vast services. You will be working in a supportive environment with regular supervision and many staff benefits.
Shifts are Tuesday to Friday with the occasional weekend working for which you receive a £30 weekend allowance.
What you will bring
You must have a Category C driving entitlement / HGV Licence, some knowledge and experience of operating a large goods vehicle and a focus and knowledge of safe working practices and general Health and Safety principles.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Typical working days and hours currently vary between different areas of the new council, but you need to be prepared to start early. Some weekend and bank holiday working may be required.
