About the Role We are seeking adaptable and enthusiastic Secondary Teachers to work across a network of partnership secondary schools in the Barnsley area. This is an excellent opportunity for teachers who enjoy variety and flexibility, delivering engaging lessons across a range of subjects at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

Assignments will include day-to-day cover as well as short-term placements, providing vital support to schools while maintaining high standards of teaching and learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-planned lessons across a variety of subjects to KS3 and KS4 students
• Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Adapt quickly to different school settings and expectations
• Ensure continuity of learning during teacher absences
• Provide feedback to permanent staff on student progress and behaviour
• Uphold safeguarding and school policies at all times

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience teaching in UK secondary schools (KS3 & KS4)
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Flexibility and confidence teaching across multiple subjects
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• A proactive and professional approach
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
