Key Responsibilities

Assigns daily duties, communicates priorities and ensures the team is fully briefed on operational requirements, machines usage and workflow targets.

Conducts regular inspections of processed linen, unforms and guest laundry to ensure cleanliness, presentation and fabric care standards meet luxury expectations.

Ensures all finished items meet premium presentation standards, including folding quality, pressing accuracy, stains removal and fabric integrity.

Provides structured training on machinery, SOP’s, safety and quality control. Coaches team members to improve productivity, accuracy and consistency.

Promotes a positive, supportive working environment. Encourages teamwork, recognises strong performance and supports staff wellbeing.

Handles operational challenges such as machine faults, linen shortages, quality concerns or guest laundry discrepancies, ensuring swift corrective action.

Monitors linen levels, tracks usage trends and communicates shortages or replenishment needs. Ensures accurate reject stock replenishment.

Ensures all laundry SOP’s all followed consistently. Reinforces correct machine operation, chemical handling, fabric care procedures and workflow standards.

Maintains full compliance with H&S, COSHH, PPE usage, manual handling and machinery protocols. Ensures the department is audit ready at all times.

Applies luxury Forbes, LSQ and AA hospitality standards to the laundry operation, ensuring linen, uniforms and guest laundry supports hotel’s overall guests experience and brand identity.

Communicates effectively with Housekeeping, Spa, F&B, and Events teams regarding linen levels, turnaround times, and operational priorities.
