Hours: 37 hours per week
Salary: £30,572 to £32,586 per annum. Plus generous benefits, including:

About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Plumbing Learning Assistant to join our Construction team. This role is ideal for a qualified plumber who is looking to use their industry experience in a rewarding educational environment. Working closely with teaching staff, you will support both full-time students and apprentices in developing the practical skills and knowledge required for a successful career in the plumbing industry.

You will be responsible for managing and maintaining the plumbing training workshops, supporting practical lessons, assessments and skills development activities, and preparing training bays, equipment and materials for learning sessions.

The role also includes ordering and managing workshop consumables and supplies, developing and maintaining risk assessments and safe systems of work, and ensuring high standards of health and safety and workshop housekeeping. You will play an important role in supporting the delivery of practical training and helping apprentices prepare for their external assessments.

About You
You will be a qualified plumber with recent industry experience and a passion for supporting the next generation of plumbers. You will be positive, enthusiastic and self-motivated, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

You will have excellent organisational skills, a commitment to maintaining high standards of health and safety, and the confidence to support learners in a practical workshop environment. You will enjoy working with young people and apprentices, building positive relationships and sharing your industry knowledge and experience in a supportive and encouraging manner. You should hold a Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Plumbing (or an equivalent qualification).
