Housekeeper/Laundry Assistant - 30 Hours

Role Overview

As a Housekeeper & Laundry Assistant at Headingley Hall Care Home, you’ll help create a clean, comfortable and welcoming environment for our residents. Working 30 hours per week on a rota of 8am–2pm or 1pm–7pm, you’ll play a vital part in maintaining high standards of hygiene, supporting daily living, and ensuring our laundry service runs smoothly.
Occasional weekend shifts may be required to cover holidays or sickness.

Key Responsibilities

• General Cleaning — Vacuuming, dusting, mopping, bathroom cleaning, and maintaining communal areas and resident rooms to a high standard.
• Bedroom Preparation — Bed changing, linen refresh, and ensuring rooms remain tidy, safe and comfortable.
• Laundry Operations — Using washing machines, tumble dryers and irons; sorting, washing and returning clothing and linen promptly and accurately.
• Mealtime Support — Occasionally assisting the catering team to serve meals, ensuring residents receive friendly, respectful support.
• Team Collaboration — Working closely with colleagues to maintain a smooth-running home and responding to resident needs with kindness and professionalism.
• Health & Safety — Following infection control procedures, safe use of cleaning products, and reporting any maintenance or safety concerns.
