Interchange Luggage Handler

Alfa Leisureplex Group has an opportunity for an Interchange Baggage Handler to join the team at Skelton Lake Services, Leeds, West Yorkshire on a Part Time basis.

Baggage Handler working hours:

As a Baggage Handler you will work circa 120 shifts throughout the year, including weekends. The shifts will be 2.5 hours per session with an hourly rate of £13.45 – Regardless of age!

Being a Baggage Handler:

You will be responsible for unloading passenger’s luggage off the feeder coaches at the interchange and reloading them onto the correct Alfa Travel coach whilst demonstrating great customer service and offering help to the customers if needed.

In addition to the logistics of the operation, the delivery of Customer Service is essential. Passengers want to have a seamless transfer from one coach to another, safe in the knowledge that their luggage is following them on the right coach. They also want to have the minimum amount of time as possible at the Interchange, with their priority being to start their holiday, or to return home after an enjoyable holiday. Given the inherent challenges of executing the logistics of the operation on time, it is understandable that outstanding Customer Service skills are paramount in this role.
