Qualified Early Years Educators - York (YO26 & YO24)

We are very excited that our nurseries to the west of York in Poppleton (YO26 6QD) and Acomb (YO24 3HP) are growing each week with new children joining our nature-led settings.

We are now opening up opportunities for Qualified (Level 3 in Childcare) Early Years Educators to join our existing teams.

Due to the number of new Apprentices that have joined Muddy Boots recently - we can only consider applications from Qualified Level 3 candidates.

About the role

As an Early Years Educator at Muddy Boots, you'll play a vital role in delivering high-quality, nature-based learning experiences that inspire curiosity, confidence and independence.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and delivering engaging learning activities, with a strong focus on outdoor play and exploration
• Observing, assessing and supporting children's individual learning journeys
• Acting as a key person and building strong, trusting relationships with families
• Creating a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment
• Working collaboratively as part of a positive, supportive team
• Taking responsibility for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children in your care

We're looking for someone who:

• Must have a Level 3 Early Years qualification on the DfE Early Years Qualifications List
• Has experience in an early years setting
• Shares our values and commitment to high-quality childcare
• Has a genuine passion for outdoor learning and child-led play
• Is positive, proactive, and enjoys working as part of a team

Experience in outdoor education is welcomed, but a willingness to learn and grow with us matters just as much.

Muddy Boots - Poppleton - Described as our flagship setting, set on around 9 acres of land less than a mile from Poppleton village centre. Poppleton is one of our two largest nurseries in York, offering plenty of outdoor space for the children to explore, including our dedicated Nature / Tent School provision.

Muddy Boots - Acomb - Situated in the grounds of Westfield Primary School, right in the heart of Acomb, this is one of our two largest York nurseries. Each nursery room has direct access to an outdoor garden space and the new edition of a full size tipi in our nature school, reflecting our hands-on, nature-led approach to early years care.
