Job Title: General Maintenance Operative / Handyperson
Location: Harrogate
Salary: £30,000 - £31,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week (rotating shifts)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a General Maintenance Operative / Handyman to join an established business. You will support the maintenance, security and general appearance of the site, carrying out a variety of practical and operational duties.

Responsibilities of General Maintenance Operative / Handyperson:

• Secure buildings and respond to alarms and emergency call-outs
• Carry out general repairs, plumbing, heating, painting and maintenance
• Identify and report hazards and defects
• Prepare rooms for events and meetings
• Assist with deliveries, waste and recycling
• Respond appropriately to emergencies
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety and site procedures

Skills & Experience:

• Previous maintenance, caretaking or handyperson experience
• Full clean driving licence
• Basic IT, English and numeracy skills
• Good understanding of health and safety and COSHH
• Comfortable working at height with appropriate training
• Reliable, flexible and physically capable
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Professional approach
