  • Location: York, YO61
  • Pay Rate: £15.00 - £20.00 Per hour
  • Shifts: Part-Time | Term Time: Monday–Friday, 3:30pm–9:00pm | Weekends: 8:00am–8:00pm | Non-Term Time: Monday–Sunday, 8:00am–8:00pm

About This Role

We are looking for compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistants to support a fun-loving and energetic young boy in his family home. He enjoys outdoor adventures, sensory play, music, stories, hydrotherapy swimming, horse-riding therapy and spending time with his Labrador, Elmo. During day shifts, you will provide 2:1 care, supporting with personal care, moving and handling, mealtimes, play, sensory activities and school support, while ensuring his clinical needs are safely met. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide consistent, person-centred care and support him to enjoy the activities he loves.

Clinical Experience

Previous experience supporting childre with complex healthcare needs is desirable. Where required, specialist clinical training will be provided by our highly skilled, in-house nursing team.

Essential Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must:

  • Have a minimum of 3 months' paid experience working in a professional care setting within the UK.
  • Have the right to work in the UK*
  • Be committed to delivering safe, compassionate and person-centred care.
  • Be willing to complete client-specific, clinical training where required.
  • Hold a full UK driving licence and be confident and comfortable driving the client’s adapted vehicle.
  • Be comfortable working in a home environment with a pet dog.
