Nurturing Year 6 Teacher Required - Immediate Start

Reed Education are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Year 6 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in the DN6 area on a mornings-only basis.

This role involves teaching Maths and English to a small Year 6 class of pupils who present with high SEMH needs. We are looking for someone who can build positive relationships, provide consistency, and create a supportive learning environment where pupils can thrive.

This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who enjoys making a real difference and supporting children who require additional emotional and behavioural support.

The Role

• Deliver engaging Maths and English lessons to a small Year 6 class
• Support pupils with high SEMH needs through a nurturing and patient approach
• Build strong relationships to encourage engagement and progress
• Work closely with school staff to provide a positive learning experience
• Morning sessions only
• No planning required - all planning is provided

The Ideal Candidate

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
• Experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6
• Experience supporting pupils with SEMH needs is desirable
• Calm, resilient and nurturing approach
• Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
• Passionate about helping children achieve their potential
