We are currently recruiting for a General Service Assistant to join our team in Strensall, York. This is an excellent opportunity for a hardworking and reliable individual to become part of a busy catering and facilities team, supporting a range of duties to help ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for customers and colleagues.

What you'll be doing

• Pot washing and maintaining kitchen cleanliness
• Sweeping and mopping floors
• Dusting and vacuuming designated areas
• Serving customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Operating tills and handling customer transactions
• Assisting with food service and general catering duties
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout kitchen and service areas
• Supporting the wider team with day-to-day operational tasks
• Following food safety, health & safety, and company procedures at all times

• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking approach
• Good attention to detail
• Flexible and adaptable to the needs of the business
• Full training will be provided, so previous experience is not essential

Important Requirements

• Successful candidates will be required to complete a DBS check
• Military BPSS clearance will be required prior to commencing employment
