We are recruiting on behalf of a primary school in Doncaster looking to appoint a dedicated Year 6 Teacher for a long-term role commencing in September 2026.

The school is seeking a teacher who thrives in upper Key Stage 2 and understands the importance of preparing pupils for the transition into secondary education. Experience delivering effective SATs preparation and intervention programmes is essential.

About the Role

As the Year 6 class teacher, you will:

• Deliver engaging lessons that challenge and inspire learners
• Support pupils in preparation for Key Stage 2 SATs assessments
• Use assessment data to monitor progress and target support where needed
• Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils
• Provide additional support for children with SEN
• Establish clear expectations and strong classroom routines
• Contribute to the wider life of the school

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Have experience teaching Year 6 or upper KS2 classes
• Demonstrate success in preparing pupils for SATs
• Possess excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
• Have a strong understanding of SEN and inclusive practice
• Be resilient, organised and committed to pupil achievement
• Build positive working relationships with pupils, families and colleagues
