SEND Support Assistant - Complex Needs (Sheffield)

We are currently recruiting SEND Support Assistants to work in specialist schools across Sheffield, supporting pupils with a range of complex medical and learning needs. This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals who are dedicated, resilient, and confident in providing both educational and personal care support.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide tailored 1:1 or small group support to pupils with complex SEND
- Assist with medical needs under guidance (e.g., feeding, medication, mobility)
- Support with personal care, including toileting and hygiene routines
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and healthcare professionals
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
Requirements:- Experience working with children or young people with complex medical needs
- Comfortable with providing personal care
- A valid DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Experience in SEND or specialist school settings
- Training in medication administration, moving and handling, or similar (desirable)
