Make a Difference Every DayHays Education is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and supportive secondary school seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young people and helping them achieve their full potential.The role offers the opportunity to work within a thriving secondary school environment supporting students aged 11-16, with the possibility of securing a permanent position for the right candidate.
The RoleAs a Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support students within lessons across a range of subjects.
• Work alongside teachers to help deliver engaging learning activities.
• Provide one-to-one and small group support where required.
• Assist students with additional learning, behavioural or SEN needs.
• Help create a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Build strong relationships with students, staff and parents.

What We're Looking ForWe welcome applications from candidates who have gained experience within the last two years in: Secondary schools supporting students aged 11-16 Primary schools or other educational settings Youth work, sports coaching, mentoring or children's services Residential care, supported living or care settings supporting adults with Special Educational Needs (SEN) Other child-related environments where you've supported learning, development or wellbeing
Successful candidates will demonstrate:

• The ability to build positive relationships with young people.
• Confidence managing behaviour and supporting engagement.
• A genuine passion for helping students succeed.
