Reed Education are currently working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive primary school in the Pontefract area who are seeking an experienced and passionate Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis from September.

This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Teaching Assistant who enjoys working across both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 and wants to become an integral part of a thriving school community.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils across KS1 and KS2, helping to create engaging learning experiences and ensuring all children can access the curriculum effectively.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting teaching and learning within the classroom
• Working with small groups and individual pupils
• Providing targeted interventions where required
• Supporting pupils with varying learning needs and abilities
• Assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons
• Encouraging pupils' confidence, independence and development
• Contributing positively to the wider school environment

• Experienced working within a primary school setting
• Confident supporting children across KS1 and KS2
• Passionate about helping children succeed both academically and socially
• Proactive, adaptable and able to use their own initiative
• Strong communicators who build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• Reliable, enthusiastic and committed to making a difference

Whether you have experience working as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Classroom Assistant or SEN Teaching Assistant within a primary setting, we'd love to hear from you.
