Enterprise Architect

At Northern, we’re transforming the way technology supports our railway, our people and our customers. We’re looking for an Enterprise Architect to play a key role in a major transformation programme.

You’ll define the target architecture and transformation roadmap for one of Northerns critical systems.

What you'll do

• Define target-state enterprise and solution architecture.
• Map technology deliverables to business processes and project outcomes.
• Develop transformation roadmaps from current to future state.
• Design and govern end-to-end solutions.
• Deliver data, application, software, integration, and technology architectures for the target solution.
• Ensure solutions meet security, resilience, scalability, and performance requirements.
• Work closely with Business Analysts, Solution Architects, Project Managers, IT Operations, Security and suppliers.
• Produce architecture artefacts including ArchiMate models, roadmaps, decision logs, ADR’s, Solution Proposals and High-Level Designs.
• Provide architectural guidance and assurance throughout.

What we're looking for

You'll have:

• Significant experience in an architecture/design role.
• Deep IT experience from a complex organisational environment.
• TOGAF or equivalent certification.
• Strong ArchiMate knowledge; certification desirable.
• Experience designing solutions using Azure.
• Experience with data integration and modern architecture patterns.
• Knowledge of SOA, Microservices, Event-Driven Architecture and mobile solutions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• The ability to balance strategic architecture with practical delivery.
