Position: Upper Key Stage 2 Teacher

Location: Rotherham, South Yorkshire

Contract: Temporary, flexible ongoing supply

Pay: £130 - £190 per day (dependent on experience, training, qualifications and client rate available, paid via PAYE - no umbrella company fees, inclusive of holiday pay)

Start Date: ASAP or a start date that works for you

About the Role

Working as an Upper Key Stage 2 Teacher in Rotherham, you will deliver engaging lessons across Years 5 and 6 and support pupils as they prepare for the transition to secondary school.

The Upper Key Stage 2 Teacher will plan and deliver learning, assess pupil progress and maintain a positive classroom environment across a variety of Rotherham schools.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach engaging lessons across Years 5 and 6
• Plan and deliver lessons in line with the curriculum
• Assess and monitor pupil progress
• Prepare pupils for transition to secondary school
• Manage behaviour positively and effectively
• Build strong relationships with pupils and staff
• Follow safeguarding procedures and school policies

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Previous experience teaching within Upper Key Stage 2
• Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum
• Confident classroom management skills
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Enhanced DBS Certificate or willingness to obtain one
