Are you passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of young people with complex needs? We have an exciting opportunity to join our Partnerships Programme as an Assistant Care Manager (Maternity Cover), with opportunities for professional development and progression.


As Assistant Care Manager, you will support the Partnerships Manager in delivering a high-quality, person-centred care service that promotes safety, wellbeing, independence, and achievement for students. You will be instrumental in leading and developing a motivated team, ensuring excellent standards of care and support are maintained across the service.


Key Responsibilities


  • Support the Partnerships Manager in leading and developing a high-quality, person-centred care service for young people with complex needs.
  • Ensure the wellbeing, safety, and development of students through effective care planning, team leadership, and compliance with CQC and College standards.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and support to colleagues, promoting a positive and accountable team culture.
  • Work collaboratively with students, families, colleagues, and external professionals to achieve the best possible outcomes.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of services, ensuring best practice and high-quality care are at the forefront of delivery.

Salary and Hours

Salary: £14.55 per hour/ £27260.88 per annum based on 40 hour per week

Hours per week: 40 (Part-time hours considered)

Weeks per Year: 40

Holiday: 5 weeks plus 10 days bank holiday allowance pro rata

Requirements

  • NVQ 2/Diploma in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards Level 3 within an agreed timescale.
  • Good standard of Maths and English
  • Willingness and experience to assist service users with any personal care requirements as needed
  • Willingness to support with any clinical interventions (once trained and competent)
  • The ability to keep calm under pressure when supporting with behaviors of concern
  • Recent experience of working with young adults with additional needs
  • Awareness and respect of service users rights
  • Willingness to undertake and achieve Skills for Care Induction Award within 12 weeks if no formal care qualifications or relevant field
