Hays Education are working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive primary school in the Harrogate area to recruit an enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher for a long-term position commencing as soon as possible.

This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated primary teacher to join a friendly school team and provide continuity for pupils during a period of long-term staff absence.

The role is expected to continue on an ongoing basis and will involve teaching a well-established Year 2 class Monday to Thursday each week.

The Role

• Full responsibility for teaching a Year 2 class
• Planning, delivering and assessing engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum
• Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Working closely with teaching assistants and school leadership
• Supporting pupils to achieve their academic and personal potential

What We're Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2
• Strong classroom management skills
• A commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and learning
• An adaptable and positive approach
• Ability to build strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents
