We have an exciting and extensive programme of technology-enabled business change with a focus ranging from strategic and operational projects to service improvements that support the student lifecycle from application through to graduation. This role is key to successful delivery of that programme.

This is a hands-on role delivering both business and technical analysis centred on the student record system (SITS). Key responsibilities include working directly with business stakeholders, service owners, end users and development teams (in Student Systems and Digital Services) to:

  • Develop solution options
  • Translate business needs into a clear framework for technical delivery

You will be personally responsible for:

  • Leading requirements elicitation and solution validation activities

  • Guiding stakeholders through prioritisation challenges, and managing project risks effectively
  • Providing oversight and control of any work assigned to external suppliers or consultants

You will thrive in this role if you are:

  • Highly self-motivated
  • Capable of managing your own work and leading others
  • A confident and approachable communicator with the ability to build warm rapport with a broad cross section of business and technical stakeholders at all levels of the University.

  • Experience of contributing to or leading business analysis activities with a range of stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and communicate sometimes complex data to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • An ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written formats
  • An ability to respond to changing business needs and priorities
  • A Level 3 qualification (or equivalent professional experience)
