As our business continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced People Advisor who enjoys building trusted client relationships, solving people challenges and making a genuine difference to businesses.

Whilst this vacancy is advertised as full-time, we are open to considering alternative flexible working patterns.
What you'll be doing
You'll manage your own portfolio of SME clients, acting as their trusted HR partner and providing commercially focused advice across the full employee lifecycle.
No two days are the same. One day you might be supporting a Managing Director through a disciplinary or performance management case, and the next you'll be delivering management training or helping a growing business prepare for its next phase of growth.
Your role will include:
- Building trusted relationships with a portfolio of clients and becoming their go-to HR expert.
- Providing practical, commercially focused HR advice across a wide range of employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, capability, absence management redundancy and restructuring.
- Supporting HR and people projects to help our clients’ business plans, as required.
- Supporting our clients through HR processes (such as disciplinary, grievances, performance management, termination of employment etc.) as needed.
- Producing contracts, handbooks, policies and other HR documentation.
- Delivering engaging manager training, both in person and online.
- Identifying opportunities to improve our clients' businesses from a people perspective while managing risk appropriately.
- Holding and running quarterly/ 6 monthly meetings onsite with clients independently and setting the agenda for these meetings, ensuring you have all the relevant information to hand.
- HR and people administration.
- Setting up HR systems for clients.
- Ensuring people data is entered and maintained correctly.
- Occasionally taking detailed client briefs and accompanying the Director’s to onsite client and new business meetings.
- Supporting with recruitment projects on behalf of our clients, including taking detailed client briefs, creating engaging job adverts, advertising on relevant job boards and social media, proactive candidate searching, conducting thorough screening, presenting a shortlist and providing weekly reports to the client on recruitment project progress.
- General business support as required, for example, support with updating and enhancing our internal processes to support the needs of the business and our clients.
About you
We're looking for someone who combines strong technical HR expertise with excellent commercial awareness and outstanding relationship-building skills.
You'll enjoy working independently while being part of a supportive, collaborative team, and you'll genuinely care about delivering exceptional service to every client.
Ideally, you'll have:
- CIPD Level 5 (or above), or equivalent experience.
- Strong generalist HR experience, ideally within an HR consultancy or fast-paced SME environment.
- Extensive experience managing employee relations casework, such as long-term sickness absences, redundancies, disciplinaries, grievances, performance management etc.
- Excellent knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Outstanding communication skills with the ability to explain complex HR matters in a clear, practical way.
- Strong relationship-building skills and confidence working with business owners and senior leaders.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- High attention to detail and a genuine commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office, HR systems and CRM platforms in a paperless environment.
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites.
