Hays Education are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Harrogate. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity starting as soon as possible, offering the chance to make a real difference in the lives of pupils across the school.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will support teaching and learning within the classroom, working closely with class teachers to help pupils achieve their full potential. The role will involve a combination of general classroom support and providing 1:1 assistance to individual pupils who may require additional guidance.

The Role

• Supporting pupils across a range of year groups and classroom settings.
• Providing general classroom assistance to teachers.
• Delivering targeted 1:1 support to pupils with varying learning needs.
• Helping to create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
• Supporting pupils' academic, social, and emotional development.
• Assisting with classroom preparation and learning activities.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience working with children in a school, childcare, or educational setting.
• A positive, patient, and proactive approach.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
• Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential.
