A Level Drama Teacher (GCSE English Desirable)

Part-Time Temporary Role

2 Days Per Week (3 Days Available for Candidates Able to Teach GCSE English)

Reed Further Education are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated A Level Drama Teacher to join a well-established college in the Scarborough area.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Drama specialist to deliver engaging A Level lessons, inspiring learners and helping them achieve their academic goals. Candidates who can also teach GCSE English will be able to access an additional day of teaching each week.

Role Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality A Level Drama lessons.
  • Plan, prepare and assess student work in line with curriculum requirements.
  • Support learners to achieve their full potential.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress and assessment.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Essential Requirements

  • Experience teaching Drama at A Level or equivalent.
  • Relevant teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, QTS or equivalent).
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities.

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience teaching GCSE English.
  • Experience working within Further Education.

All candidates who register with Reed Further Education will have 2 years' referencing taken up and will be required to have a DBS check completed. All offers are conditional upon satisfactory background checks.
