Are you passionate about helping organisations make smart, strategic investment decisions in learning and development?

We're looking for a Learning Triage Specialist to join us on a 12-month fixed-term contract and help drive the effective management of learning investment across Yorkshire Building Society. Acting as the gateway for learning demand, you'll work with the business to ensure learning requests are understood and appropriately triages, working with key supplier relationships and connect colleagues with high-quality learning solutions that support business and personal development.

About the role

This is a unique opportunity to combine commercial awareness, stakeholder management and analytical expertise to influence learning investment and support capability development across the business.

In this role you will:

  • Monitor budget performance, identify risks and opportunities and provide meaningful insight to support decision making.
  • Identify opportunities to maximise value through smarter procurement, learning curation and optimisation of existing assets.
  • Lead the intake and triage process for learning requests received through the Home for Learning process.
  • Assess learning requirements and recommend appropriate solutions, whether through existing learning, third-party provision or bespoke development.
  • Partner with subject matter experts and learning specialists to identify and create effective learning solutions.
  • Produce management information and insight to identify trends and influence future learning priorities.
  • Manage relationships with key external learning suppliers.
  • Support strong data governance across the Learning team, ensuring accurate and compliant records.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by enhancing processes, insights and stakeholder experience.

About you

You'll thrive in this role if you're naturally curious, highly organised and enjoy balancing commercial thinking with stakeholder partnership. You'll be confident analysing information, challenging constructively and translating data into meaningful recommendations.

We're particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to turn insight into action.
  • Experience managing supplier relationships and working with external partners.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the confidence to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong planning and organisational capability with the ability to prioritise competing demands.
  • A continuous improvement mindset and a desire to enhance ways of working.
  • Experience working within a structured or regulated environment.
  • Confidence using digital tools, systems and data to support decision-making.
  • Experience managing budgets, analysing financial information or influencing commercial decisions.

Knowledge of learning and development practices, standards or learning design principles would be great, but it’s not essential.
