Consultant in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry – Community CAMHS

Sheffield Community CAMHS is a well-established multidisciplinary service working across two sites - Centenary House and The Becton Centre. Our teams work together, sharing expertise and resources to deliver a high-quality, evidence-based service to children, young people, and families.

We are looking for a Consultant in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry to join us, working with young people and families across the south and east of the city. Based at our Centenary House site, this is a replacement full-time post (10 Programmed Activities), with flexibility for part-time working or job sharing.

About You:

• MBChB or equivalent, with relevant specialist qualification.
• CCT in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (or within 6 months of completion).
• Section 12(2) Approval.
• Full GMC registration and licence to practise.

Main duties of the job

• Reporting into the Clinical Director, your responsibilities will include:
• Provide senior clinical leadership and oversight for the care of referred children and young people.
• Deliver comprehensive psychiatric assessments, diagnoses, and treatments.
• Work collaboratively within the multi-disciplinary team, participating in joint visits, care planning, and team meetings.
• Contribute to citywide service developments and specialist clinics.
• Participate in daily triage or referral discussions where required.
• Prescribe medication or supervise the Nurse Prescriber.
• Offer advice and input into complex case management and treatment planning.
• Participate in service planning, audit, and quality improvement.
