Welder Fabricator

Job Title: Welder Fabricator
Location: Leeds

Shifts: Days regular

Salary: 14.00 - 15ph

Metalis are currently in partnership with an engineering company who are on the lookout for two skilled welder fabricators to join their busy workshop.

Duties and responsibilities:

• MIG welding.
• Excavation and weld repair of finished, post machined casting defects.
• The welding of wear plates to components.
• Some general fabrication assembly work.
• To interpret basic engineering drawings for parts to be fabricated/welded.
• Ensure tolerances and parameters are met to satisfy quality and output

Person Specification:

• Welding qualifications and experience in an engineering environment essential.
• Some Arc air experience required.
• General Mechanical Skills.
• Experience in using an angle grinder to polish components from time to time.

Shifts and Salary:

• Salary from 14.50 per hour to 16.00 following successful probation period.
• Days 07:30 - 4pm Mon to Thur - 06:00 - 14:00 Fri.
• 12 weeks temporary to permanent role.
